And you thought that your yak was tricked-out.

Are you able to go out on that, or does all the gear already exceed the weight limit on the yak?  :D

Do you actually use all that gear on the same outings?

That photo only scratches the surface of how tricked out that kayak is.  Check out this thread on the kayak4fish board.

It's a good think he fishes in Southern California, because I'm a little dubious of how sea-worthy that kayak would be in the rougher waters of the Northwest.

As someone posted when seeing this photo on NCKA... STU-PID!! :P

Simplicity is waaaay underrated. This guy would be lucky not to impale himself on... anything, while getting in or out of this yak.

Porcupine Boat!
Man, that would make an expensive roll in the surf. Then again maybe all those rods would make it self righting! ;)

Hey, if he's out there having fun, then more power to him.  But you'd never catch me in a setup like that.  I have a hard enough time juggling 2 rods and a net.

Hmmm ... he must really be on to something new.  None of the rods have any reels on them, do they?

BLING! I see a lot of non-functionality there.

Here is a pic of him using it.

I guess it would be ok for just bottom fishing or light trolling. Personally I spend most of my time spin, bait and fly casting in fresh water so I would be flinging rods and crap all over he place. Not to mention hooking up my lure on all that stuff. I also like to keep the weight as minimal as possible for easier long paddles.

He did a decent job on the work but I think it would be a hell of a lot better to just take 2 rods and change your lure if needed. Kayak fishing for me has always been keeping it light and simple as possible. If I wanted all that stuff I would just buy a boat.
