I can barely get the zippers up anymore and when I do I feel like sausage. getting it off is another adventure all together. Im done.
Im headed at the "posideon" dry suit from level6.
levelsix.com
does anyone have any experience with these suits?
or any other level6 products?

I also wouldnt mind hearing what folks prefered zipper placement is for entry and exit of the suit.
thanks

I found a great deal on one. It leaked like a sieve. The repair place said they couldn't even fix it and sent it back to the factory. They say they are going to send a new one, but it's been a hassle, and I've been without a suit for the past month.

yep used mine once and crap i was wet from top to bottom
to bad cuz there a good Canadian company. I like to support our own but what can one expect for the price

I don't see a relief zipper, pretty much a "must" unless your bladder holds 2-3 liters....Kokatat sets the standard, the Meridian tropos Kyaker is only around $500 and if you buy it in OR, no sales tax....

PS----front entry only!!!  And I just noticed Outdoorplay has 20% off on Koke suits, jump on it while the sale is still on!!!

Thanks for the reviews kallitype.
There is a relief zipper. Its just more subtle the the grinning maw style of other suits.

Ive got zero doubt this is the way for my ageing and beat up body Z. Probably shouldve made this transition years ago when I switched to the SOTs.

Immersion Research and a few military style suits have caught my eye as well.
thanks again.

THe rear-entry shoulder zip requires a helper.
My favorite is a FarmerJohn Kokatat Goretrex bib, with a matching Tropos  top that has a rollup cuff that mates with a skirt on the bibs.  Just as dry as a fullsuit, but more versatile, and the top does not have the dreaded latex neck strangler, but a fold-over closure that works.  Jest my 2 pesos....

I was considering a bib/jacket combo as well using the Kok bib and a Bomber jacket.

Not being a big fan of tight things around my neck (wont even wear ties), that strangling sensation is a concern, so today I tried on the Stohlquist b-pod semi-drysuit and it was very comfortable.I didnt feel like my airway was being threatened and it was easy to get in and out of. I still have alot of homework to do but the term semi-dry is a bit disturbing.

Here are some of the other suits im considering.
I probably will be going with a full drysuit since I still have an interest in playing in waves. The Kaos has been hanging in my garage for far too long.

I will attest that the Mustang dry suits are pretty freakin awesome.

I also have a semi dry top that I used to wear over waders. The top is pretty water tight if you tighten the neck seal prior to getting soaked. ie surf conditions

"Semi-dry" means you might ship a couple teaspoons thru the neck seal if it's the Koke fold-over velcro type, if it's neoprene  punchthru, probably nothing.  I tried on a latex neck gasket Kokatat and actually got panicked, it was so tight and hard to get out of.
