Fished in the bay out of charleston on Thursday. The fishing was good for perch and greenlimg. After a while a new guy on the site Evan(coosbaymerz) showed up and we fished for a little while until my drive broke and i had to  start the arduous paddle all the way in.  :'(

Thanks Roy!  I haven't been able to make it out much yet this year and I appreciate you taking me along with you on video.   ;D

What was the problem with your Mirage drive???

One of the masts broke off at the housing, if i would have had a small tool kit with the proper allen wrench i could have fixed it. Now the mast is an inch shorter but seems to work for now, until i can get a new one. Surprised they lasted that long, i bent them pretty good one time and had to straighten them.  My drive is ready for an overhaul anyway, lots of miles on that thing.

*Note to self, put together a small tool kit...

Not a bad idea to have a tool kit with a Allen wrench for the mast. I had a mast come loose once if I'd had a Allen wrench with me I wouldn't have a long paddle.

Cool video. I ended up keeping 3 perch and a greenling. Of course you got the smallest one on the video :P
The perch were pretty tasty. I thought the greenling was a little mushy.

I fished again in the same spot on monday. Did about the same. Kept the 3 biggest perch. The largest one was 12.5 inches. Made some good fish tacos.

High tide is after dark now unfortunately.
