Ok ... I am getting jumping to get back on the salt so the best cure is fidget with gear at home.
No fancy painting here just putting pieces together. The toughest part is spreading the eye of the hook to add the swivel. The two smaller jigs will get GULP 6" or 8" tails on the water. I also added a solid ring to the split ring that connects the cannon ball and hook. I think this gives a more solid connection point and tying off or clipping to the split ring.
The part I really like is this will allow me to change the weight of my rig on the water from 4 oz to 16 with out having to redo the whole set up.

Now if it wasn't for this damn pesky work thing during the week!

The cannonballs are attached to the hook eye?  A ling will ignore a big ball of lead when they try to pick up the lure?

the eye of the hook is attached to a swivel the swivel is attached to a split ring the slit ring is attach to the cannon ball..... and yes the cannon ball will not scare a ling. Hell they catch them with pipe jigs.
I hope to find out if they work tomorrow!
