anyone used a frenzy for bottom fishing on the ocean? i have a big 2 seater i use but found a smokin deal on a frenzy, wondering if it is worth my time trying it out on the ocean?

I would recommend using the tandem for a while and wait for something in the 12-13 foot range to come up. I think that boat would be too small for you.

I am with CBY on this. The first plastic SOT kayak I fished from in the ocean was a Frenzy. We went out in FAC water . . . it works but is too small. Weight (load) with me, tackle, fish and comestibles makes it drag heavy through the water, wet ride, no glide when paddling, constant heading corrections. No hatches/stowage.

On the other hand, with nothing but me in it and small, clean waves, it is a lot of fun to play on. Fish with a larger 'yak.

thats what i was thinking. o well maybe a good boat if someone wanted to go out. im new the the site, whats FAC? flat and calm? cant pass up the deal it will work for on the rivers
