Sunset window fishing Fri.

Looks like a small window might open up on Friday for Sunset. Hoping it holds. Gonna launch at 8 AM if it does. See ya there.

Roy and and I got out at Sunset Bay on Friday.  Roy caught a few fish one nice greenling and I caught a nice lingcod and a couple greenling's.   The ocean was ok when we launched and it got better as the day went the last hour we were on the water the wind came up we decided to head in about that time swell jacked up several extra feet making our exit interesting.  My buddy's and I caught the crab at Winchester Bay.

That's my playsport video camera on my mount. 

An interesting day.  I decided to make a serious attempt at live baiting a Lingcod and caught a 14.5 inch greenling with a 11 inch greenling. Then i had a hitchhiker ling somehow grab the double 9/0 hooked greenling right in between the two hooks and let go near the surface before i could get my net under him..Grrr, denied my First keeper ling of '11 again, It's was a nice one too...

The wind came up hard and pushed some huge swell into the Bay. I knew it was serious when Dana yelled "outside!!" We rode over that set and turned and burned for the beach, at one point i looked over and the front 3 feet of dana's Outback was in mid air at the top of a swell. Too bad i didn't have my camera on until we got in. Pretty fun day overall and about an hour after we got off the water it was dumpimg and blowing at least 30MPH. Good timing!

You can tell Dana's a surfer by that one word.   
Funny, even reading about somebody yelling "outside!" gives me an adrenalin boost.  Best drug in the world!!!!
