I had the chance this evening to fish with Wali. We ended up meeting near GR park late this evening following a nice afternoon of rain. The fishing started out pretty slow for us. We did see 1 power boat on the shelf when we started, but the guy quickly caught a Springer and split. After a few passes over head trolling my go-to prawn spinner, I was fortunate to get into a nice 36" Spring. It was a pretty soft hit to start, but as I went to lift up, wham, he pulled back with a furry. The usual battle in sued, followed by him eventually giving up the battle and drifted into my net.
Thanks Wali for hanging out! If you guys can possibly get out on the willy right now, DO IT!!!!
Here's some late night fish porn....
ps. the dark scar on his back is from the mirage drive. Fish message!

Nice fish! Way to put the hurt to them!.... That rain was cold last night..  There was a decent bite right around the low tide change on a shelf just upriver from you ::) ;D  I almost came down to see if you were fishing but I had several good reasons to stay put ;D

That is another nice fish!

I need to get out there.  I have been watching you guys slay them for the last 2 weeks that I have been out of town.  I grabbed some stuff to make spinners on my way home from the airport yesterday.  Fisherman's has been hit hard and was out of a lot of the popular colors yesterday.
