Didn't know where to post this but I know the OR folks must hang here!

I don't think I am going to have any time my next trip but is there a place in Portland where you can rent a kayak right where you can fish (i.e. don't want to deal with a rental vehicle).

And partially for the AOTY points, but I'd be happy with anywhere I could catch a fish you can't here in Alaska to add a little safety margin in case I can't catch all the species I can in Alaska which would leave me short a fish!  lol

I think my plan is May 22-26.  I have a conference to attend and some customer meetings.

While I am partial to Next Adventure and we have the cheapest rentals in town, both Alder Creek and Portland Kayak Company offer rentals and have direct access to the water.  My work schedule is a bit funky that week, but I may be able to take you out fishing at least one of the days you are in town.

There are plenty of places like that here in PDX.  Hell, a few of us will probably meet you on the water to boot.  Funny thing is that I was just thinking about how much it would cost me to head back up there (with my barge) and get some fishing in.

Thanks fir the info and offer. Since it's a business trip I dint know what days I could commit to so It's tough to hook up with others. I might have a better idea as I schedule dinners and such. But it'd be cool to get out! Even if it is for panfish!
