Thinking about hitting the Willy at George Rodgers tomorrow for bass sometime around mid to late afternoon.  Anyone want to join me?

I can't go tomorrow, but would love to go one of these evenings this week.  I am itching to hit it later in the evening and fish it until a little past dark and see if I can hook up with the walleye Jammer tossed back earlier this week. I am Jonesing for a new species for the AOTY.

I was just there hoping to score a walleye, so I was trolling deeper. The water has really dropped since earlier this week.  I caught a 15.25 inch smallmouth on a deep diving walleye crank bait.  It was in about 23 FOW, near the "rocks" sign towards the main channel.  It was supposed to be a walleye.  >:(

Then I broke my brand new rod I bought for walleye fishing yesterday from Fisherman's.   >:(  I went back to Fisherman's to get some crab rings and the guy that helped me let be upgrade it (store credit) for a much more walleye appropriate rod. :) He thinks it was a defective blank.   I love that store.

Good luck tomorrow!  They are biting.

TX, I think I'll get there around 2:30 or 3:00 today and fish until 7 or 8.  Too bad you can't make it Craig, I'll go catch that pesky walleye for ya.   >:D

I think I may still give it a try. Probably get out around 4:00 (maybe rain will subside a little). Have tomorrow too so if anyone wants to head out tomorrow (anytime) let me know. By the way I have not fished George Rogers or that part of the Willy before. Should I head up stream or down stream?

I would suggest heading down stream, but there are plenty of places that could hold bass up or down stream.

Actually my wife started making fajitas so it looks like fishing will have to wait till tomorrow.
