Everyone who lives in Alaska has heard of this derby.  Probably one of the oldest and largest derbies in Alaska.  With my recent success close in to town, I think I am going to fish this derby on the two weekends.  Probably one day each weekend.

http://directory.seward.com/events/details/seward-silver-salmon-derby

$10K to the winner with tagged fish up to $50K.  Last year two tagged fish were caught but only the $100 tags.  The $10K and $50K tags have been caught in the past...just not during the derby.

Anyone else?????

Come on Alaska yakkers.........show your mettle....
We did it down at Anchor Point in May for their King Derby.Even if we didn't win 1st place (there was only 1st place to win) we had a great showing.
Man up boys and go get 'em........... :-\
Gotta be some with a pair ....besides kardinel_84.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent
