Not kayak but day out with the Fam.

So I promised the kids I'd take them fishing. So I hear the pinks are in up North so off we go.

The bad news is we didn't catch a single pink! What!?!?!  The good news is we did manage 3 silvers and 2 chums.

My 9 yr old daughter catches 2 of the silvers completely by herself with no assistance on a hometied jig under a float.

Well various stages of homemade. Some I pinch/glue splitshots onto jig hooks, others I buy unpainted jigs, and the two with eyes came prepainted.

Super easy to tie and fish don't seem to care that mine don't seem as "pretty" as the store bought ones. Very few people use a float and jig setup in
AK. Picked it up steelheading in WA.

The beat up one next to the quarter is the actual jig my daughter was using.

If they catch fish----that's "pretty" to me.Again...nice shots of the kids.
