dang guys, y'all had me chomping at the bit. But I'm kinda glad y'all canceled as I just walked into the house and if I even acted like I was going fishing tomorrow I'd be crucified.
FTN,
I saw those rings in Pacific City and they look like the lick! On the other hand, I've had great success using the NCKA ChuckD method with the folding Danielson traps. BTW pool noodles make GREAT crab floats.
(thats 3 folded traps stacked on the back of my boat)

Sigh.....  Probably the  last nice weekend for 6 months, so my weekend has become saturated with family activities and yard work.  Looks like I'm out.

Just got back yesterday. No fish, but there are fish there.

Most of the locals will be in tidewater mooching or fishing eggs. Low light and the incoming tide/ slack tide seem to be the way to go. There's a good launch at the end of 3rd street in Tillamook.

Let me know if you want any more somewhat useful details.
