I cracked up when I saw this post on customizing a Hobie Pro Angler.  This guy actually removed the Mirage Drive and added a larger non skid area.  How about the motor mount on the side?  Nicely done. I'm a bit envious yet it kind of defeats the purpose of buying a pedal kayak.  Enjoy http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=35431

I love the step ladder in the front as a casting platform.

That is crazy.  With the amount of time and $ put into that he probably could have gotten a used flats boat.

He seems pretty scared of drilling holes in that thing.
Bring it to my place, I'll drill some holes for ya!  >:D

>:D If you paid attention to the stickers, you understand the reason he did what he did.... LSU isn't noted for it's braintrust.. :confused4:

seriously, he took a blank slate, decent small craft fishing platform and modified it to his needs. agree he could have probably bought a used flats boat, and there are other small rowboats and such in that size range, but hey, it's his....

but, damn, what some people won't do to things....

"I love the step ladder in the front as a casting platform." lol...
Hopefully some day I get back into Kayak fishing, for now.  Gotta focus on Life.
