Hello fellow Urbanites,
I was wondering if anyone had any tips or thoughts on any local fisheries in or around Seattle fresh or salt. Other then squidding which should be done from a dock with a flask, my expertise is limited.
I just picked up my first hobie outback which is my second fishing kayak and want to get some use out of it this fall/winter. I put a downrigger on it the first day I got it!!!

Ok bent rods and tasty fish

Lake Washington has good cuttbow fishing throughout the winter. 2-3 ounces on a sliding sinker and a small firetiger flatfish, quikfish, blue fox spinner, or small Brads cut plug herring. 20-30 pulls of line off the reel gets you where you need to be and troll slow about 1 mph.

Thanks for the posts gents. I have heard of such fishing lights and actually seen the when I lived in Texas... I think it would be an interesting translation to a northwest application especially from a kayak... Might need to give it a try... Plus you never know what other creatures it might entice... I'll be sure to post it if I muster the courage.
Also I plan on doing the lake Wa trout fishery. Thanks for the tips.
