Ok in Seattle again. So why should I go visit hobie northwest...the hobie dealer.

Is it cool or am I just going to be looking at yaks I wish I had?  Serious question.  I do not know how to shop and it goes against my religion to shop just for shoppings sake. Identify need, identify product, buy product. That's my MO.

Can I kill an hour or two there? It's a 20 dollar can fare so looking for quick input.

Impossible to pick a cab where I'm at so gonna run out of time. So at a more leisurely pace, is it worth it? I envision going there and just wishing I could buy another yak. Do these place have all the bells and whistles and cool "stuff"?

I have never been there, but a $20 cab ride to look at new kayaks that you can't buy is pricey.  I would hit up outdoor emporium and look and fishing gear, or spend that $20 at a bar.

+1.  That blues bar near pioneer square would be a good starting point.

Your CFO would probably rather have you at a bar.Cheers......... :spittake:

Plus ...it wouldn't be as expensive.....duh...
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Apparently you have one too...lol!

I opted for a double grey goose and a dozen oysters on the half shell!

Came to this a bit late, but you made the right decision, though I am not a fan of raw oysters.  Outdoor Emporium will be a more useful trip than NW Hobie.  When are you leaving town?

Barely had 24 hours in Seattle.  Next trip will be Nov 17 when I head out to the Pacific Marine Expo.  http://www.pacificmarineexpo.com/11/public/enter.aspx

I think the stuff they sell there is a tad big for kayaks but who knows...hmmm...I wonder if I can install an ice machine on my yak....lol.
