Is this a fair price for this kayak?  I am a newbie and just starting out. thanks.

I believe the $350 asking price is about 1/2 of the retail price......not a bad deal for a Hobie paddle kayak if the condition is as advertised.
Should make sure there are no hull cracks/leaks.
