Couple questions for the experts...
1 I have been fishing the lakes near Seattle pretty hard in the last week or so. Went to lake tapps, Washington and rattlesnake lake. No luck in any of them. I drug a olive wooly bugger at rattlesnake lake with wet fly line... Hard to tell my depth but I I had about 50 feet of wet line out and let the wind push me around. I had luck last spring but am thinking perhaps the water temp played a role...
Also I launched in lake Washington at coulon park and fished off kennydale. I trolled a white and green dick nite and a black and silver rapala. Nothing. I was marking fish or bait(I think) about 20 feet off the bottom. The depth was 50-90 feet. Perhaps I was trolling to fast.
Thoughts???
Also I am looking at buying a ram mount for my yak. I mostly fish saltwater with spinning and level wind trolling reels. The ball joint system seams great but a strike from a 20 pound king with decent amount of drag set seems like it could be a problem.
Any thoughts on that one?
Happy new year to everyone.
