Sorry for the tardy update... Heart of Texas kayaks sent me the repair rods, some extra drip-rings, and a couple of neat T-shirts to boot! I was able to fix the scupper pin hole, though I could have used a smaller nossel heat gun. The one I used was about 1/2" diameter. A bit ugly, but it is all sealed up.

We had to get in one more outing before they closed the access roads for winter, so we took a trip to Hosmer lake for our second paddle. What a great day with clear skys and no wind to speak of. There was about 1/8" of ice around the shore-lines that was fun to paddle through. We didn't bring the poles along on this trip as we are still getting the feel of the yaks (Atlantic Salmon were taking flys). Next trip for sure we will. The kayaks handled very well and were dry the whole day. The dog even enjoyed hitching a ride on the back of my wifes kayak.
