Mine is yum-yum yellow on the front 3/4, and that segways drunkenly into a bright hot-orange stern.  Considering that I usually tie in a red or orange tail on my cutthroat flies to draw more strikes, I actually feel like a big dry fly when sitting out there. Yellow-bodied flies with hot-orange tails often are real cutthroat killers.

My yak is "mango." Sharks don't eat fruit, right?

I believe the correct name for that color is "yum-yum yellow".   (my yak is the same color)

As it is,  I think they would see a couple of my kayaks as "I like my Seal Xtra Rare" Red

I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

I wonder if I could have my kayak custom painted to look like an Orca ???
hmmm... wouldn't want to inspire any mating behavior

just remember that Adam Coco's yak is yellow with black chevrons painted on the bottom and that didn't stop him from almost getting munched.

the most recent involved a sand colored boat.

also, one of the previous attacks in Cali waters was on a red Hobie outback.

so, i don't think there is a color relationship as much as maybe a shape association. but, that's just a gut feeling and not a scientific proven.
