Here's a new kayak fishing video out of Australia  (including sharks, whales, and a marlin).  So much better than that silly octopus video that has 10 million + views   ;)

Disclaimer... I'm talking about the first half of the video.  The second half is pretty much a commercial for Ocean Kayak's new Trident Ultra 4.3, including lots of details about its new features.

That was a great video.  I thought the guy was going to stick his foot in the water next to the shark's mouth.

That was a real inspiring video. I think I know where I want my next vacation to be!!    :)

I have been thinking about trading my Prowler 15 in for a Hobie, so I could go faster and further. But that Ocean Kayak looked so good out there on the water, I may have to re-think the matter!

Cool vid - they sure have lots of whales down there.  Close encounters with sharks seem natural to them too.  Aussies have always been an extremely rugged bunch it seems.
See you at Gimme Shelter

Maybe I'm getting old and grumpy.  I thought the fast cut and stop action editing and music were annoying.  I made it to two minutes, then turned off the sound, and let it run until it was all buffered.  Then I went back and clicked what looked interesting.  More whale watching than fishing, and a lot of OK advertising shots.  How many whales breaches can you watch without getting bored?   Now if he had a harpoon!  >:D

I did greatly enjoy the warm water.

Awesome video and great song choice. Thanks for sharing.

I wish those click and seal hatches would make their way onto the Trident series. Those appear to be a far superior design than the cross lock hatches on there now.

Unreal whale shots, now I won't feel like such a sissy when I paddle out of their path. I'm not going to get any better shots than those, why hang around and try.

That marlin had to be pretty close in size to Cho's.
