Hey y'all, it's Brooks here, aka "avodude".  This is my third foray into kayaking but the first with a fishing twist.

I first started kayaking in SoCal at Mission Beach in 1998 and my water excursions since have been: kayaking in Louisiana, kayak-bowfishing carp at Bridgeport Bar, kayaking around Whatcom Co., WA, catarafting and fishing Cottonwood Creek and the lakes around Anchorage, and Canoeing 400 some odd miles in the Yukon.  This by no means makes me an expert but probably, maybe a rank novice.   ;D

The first kayak I owned was one that I pulled out of a logjam that looked like it had been there for months.  Anybody lose a kayak on the Nooksack River around 2003?  ::)

I just bought an Hobie Oasis so that I can carry the girlfriend, dogs or a volleyball named "Wilson" with me to keep me company.   :banjo:

Right now I call both Moscow, ID (home of NRS) and Bridgeport, WA (right next to Rufus Woods) home.  My hometown is Ellensburg, WA.

(pictured, with me, are a few of the "average" sized triploids ((footballs)) from Rufus Woods)

Canoeing 400 miles on the Yukon.  Me thinks there are few stories for you to share.  Do tell!

Welcome!

Okay, I'll get on that Yukon story and try to make it so that anyone can plan it.  All you need is two weeks... 8)

Thanks threecreeks.  I read where you got your ram.  Congratulations!  Must've been an awesome hunt.

Welcome avodude. I've heard stories and rumors of all kinds of great fishing up there. One of these days I plan to take a trip to the NE corner of the state and check it out.
