Has anyone considered a tournament between States? I have seen a ton of good looking fish from our anglers in Oregon lately and its making me a bit restless. Would an annual tourney held in WA and OR alternatively be a good idea? Seems like there are a ton of enthusiastic, avid, and slightly competitive people here....
Thoughts?

Yup, it's called the AOTY.  Currently Oregon is 3 wins to Washington's 1.  Alaska and Idaho haven't taken it seriously yet.

Actually, your idea sounds like fun.  If history is any indicator, you could expect about a dozen people for the 1st event and a doubling in attendance each year if it continues.  When and where is the 1st tourney?

That'd be great!  What dates should I put on my calendar for visiting y'all?   ;D

Well, I was thinking maybe a day or two in april. Perhaps near the OR, WA border. Its tough because weather is so unpredictable. After april I will be working overseas for a while so I wouldnt be able to attend. If we do somthing in april I would put some of my own $$$ down for hats or T-shirts or somthing for Oregon crew and WA crew if someone designs somthing... Beanies??? Any thoughts on a place that might work for a day trip for everyone? Which weekend would be best?

Maybe tax weekend? Or maybe last weekend in April.
Also location depends on what the rules are like are we targeting a specific specie or multiple species?

I know for a fact you all will see a nice show from the Great Frontier this fishing season!
