Any lake not listed in the special rules sections of the rule book is open year round, with state-wide regs. That includes most reservoirs and many large lakes.
Offet is usually a winner.  Kapowsin can be interesting.  Also, Nahwatzel, Spencer, Kokanee, Lost, and maybe a couple others in Mason co. usually get stocked by now.

Trying to find a report on the area lakes,  Has anyone been out there lately and have a report for us?  Any info would help out?

Check out Washington Lakes.com. They have
a recent report section on the top left. You can also search specific lakes or rivers or salt water areas.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

This warming weather should turn on the bite for most lakes. Just head to your favorite lake and go for it!
If you are new to the area or new to lake fishing, then Mark's suggestion to check out "WA Lakes dot com" is helpful. I like the lake "profiles" since they often have photos of the launch area, as well as a shot of the lake.
I don't "chase" the fishing reports, though. I usually just head out to a lake that I already know and that I suspect is fishing well, and go for it!
I like to explore new waters, though, and there are several lakes on my list that I hope to check out in the near future, or revisit again after having been there only once before and vowing to return.  Unfortunately, most are a several hours drive from here. So I fish the ones closer more often.

Murf, I notice that you are on Whidbey. If you are a fly fisher, Pass Lake or Lone Lake have been fishing well.

Unfortunately, I haven't learned to toss the bug wand around yet, but with those lakes so close by it might be about time I learn.
