Well a Couple Reports of Rescue's this week. and I'm got the Kayak Loaded and Ready, BUT the Ocean is Not looking that good This weekend, Small craft warnings and the wave and winds are up. I'd like to have made last weekend But wasn't ready and Now I don't want to Be seen Hoisted in to the CG chopper..Did any one Find out any More? Make's me wonder Where did his Kayak go? and Why did he need help in the first place,it's hard to learn from someone Else's error if you don't know The whole story . But Know your Limits and Learn to Check Conditions,Well To far to go to join the Crowd on the willy. And I drove to Watch the Wave's at Sunset Bay,Really not looking to go Surfing, but I guess it's back to the Ponds and Lake's chasing the Bass,Good Luck this weekend..

What lakes you fishing in? Any luck lately? I need to catch a bass. I have never caught one besides accidentally. I tried Tenmile a couple times and had no luck. I must be doing something wrong because supposedly that lake is full of bass. I even saw a big one floating under a log and couldnt get it to bite anything.

I fished Sunset the day after the guy got rescued there. Pretty choppy. I have a sit-in sea kayak. I made the decision not to fish in the ocean anymore until i get a more stable SOT kayak.

On more stormy days I've been trying most the lake"s 10 mile and north ,I too have been using a SINK till now , I tryed Woahink today with No luck.and Did good on trout at tahkenitch on the back side down 5 mile road (I was Fishing for Bass,Got all my trout on a bass spinner) Seems the bass are still in winter mode ,here and Waters to cool for spring spawn, Def NOT like back east bass..Large jigs and very Slow presentation is whats sappose to work, But even the bass pro's a having a hard time as I've been told. For Salt fishing theres a few spots In the Oyster Triangle and South Jetty (florance has a Area inside the Jetty ) its easy floating area.Elbow is good for trout too, They are a bit Bigger there its not the easyest SINK launch But its doable..10 mile lake I put in By the Bridge or Boat yard Not by the Park. its easyer to fish the float house's and docks. But Ive not done well there either, Coosbayakker 's done well at Empire Big hog trouts, Ive never got one worth measuring there,to many lil stockers for the kids.. Im easy to find rigth next to shell in reedsport..

I will have to try the triangle. fivemile is one of my favorites. Been going there since I was little. Nice place just to paddle around. Ive fished in pretty much all the lakes around here also, just never for bass. Im gonna go to tenmile today around 12:30. I usually put in at the bridge between the two lakes. Gonna stop and buy some bass lures.

I spent a week on 10 mile back in the eighties. Caught lots of nice bass, but only at dawn and dusk. Rattle Traps and spinner baits worked the best. Jgrady, next time you are in the Florence area, let me know and I'll go fishing with you!
