OK , so a Bit of work later Here it is , My Tarpon 120 Wasn't an Angler model, So First I put the Rear Pole holders in then A Scotty Mounted up front with an Extenchion ,Then I built a Kart using a golfcaddy Wheels 2 dollars from the thrift store,Then Made a mount for the Fish finder and a Moveable Arm for the transducer,I've stuffed Oddles of Pool noodles and Othe Foam Flotation (blue Pad, and Made up the Battrey Box and Sillaconed it inside, the Battreys Easy to take in and out.. The Kitty Litter Box ( for Fish Storeage ) and Crate fit in the Back on the Kart while Fishing, and Still room inside the Kayak for Poles and Gear..So what have I forgotten..?? Jeff  Can't wait to try it out.

Congrats on the new kayak, and looks like you have put some time and energy into getting it ready for the water.

Let me throw this out to you in good gesture.  The cart looks interesting, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that physics isn't in the cards for it.
It looks like it is already stressed out just sitting there, by the serious topside camber and toe out.  I would HIGHLY suggest a single axle go through both wheels, and to reduce the overall height of the cart until the wheels are just a few inches from touching the kayak.  If you can, get your center tube to be directly under the kayak and even support the keel some, and your through axle will be an additional horizontal support to limit twist. The way it sits now, if you roll this across a bowling alley smooth parking lot, you might make it too the water.  The first 1" rock, or crack in the ground and the cart will collapse in several areas.

Also, I would also recommend centering your cart directly under your scupper holes, as the way you have it further back now, the leverage will be pushing forward on your scupper holes and this may damage them long term.  But, I honestly don't think the "T" joints pointing down to the wheels will hold long enough to experience scupper failure.

Other than that, just add water and fish blood.   :icon_thumright:

After the first Cart I made for it that Did as You say ( stright up in the scupper hole's), It was Worse on the Scupper hole's and this one sapports the Kayak Much better,Also the Elbow Wheel areas are Filled with  Epoxy AS I'm not Planning to pull it behind the car I think it should Hold up. But as the cost was about 7 dollars total and All The parts are Christy's Hot Glued together,(Not Pop apart like many carts for storeage) I think only Time will Tell..It is Very Light weight ,and I don't have the Ratchet strap on it in the Pic. Here is another Pic So you can see the cart a bit better. I guess I could Flip it around and the wheels would center abit under the seat ,I  could try that. And Thanks Again to DEREK at the Kayak Shed..(I didn't get a Kayak Shed Sticker ) So if and when The Videos Start the people know where to go..

You might want to test the cart in your backyard/neighborhood where you will have help getting it back home.  It would be a real hassle to have the cart collapse on a rough beach a few hundred yards away from the vehicle.

Not bad, jgrady! My Tarpon was a regular model and so I also installed my own "angler" stuff. Same Harmony flush mounts in the rear. I have my Scotty mount on my Tarpon 140 in almost the same location as yours, front-center of the foot well, except mine's on the forward rectangular location.

Your extension looks different, though. Mine has an adjustment knob on the bottom end, as well as on the top end. That still didn't let me get the rod-holder positioning exactly where I wanted it, so I picked up a Scotty "Gear Head" attachment to go between the extension and the rod holder, which allows even more adjustment. I can now swivel the rod-holder on top of the extension. There's a regular adjustment knob on the base of my rod-holder, too.
So I have three adjustment knobs plus the swivel "Gear Head" between my base and the rod-holder. I can get the rod-holder positioned exactly where I want it, now. It sort of "goose-necks" back toward me so that I can easily reach my rod in the holder without much effort, and it holds my rod high enough so that it doesn't interfere with my paddle stroke when trolling.

I recommend the "Gear Head" for this kind of rod holder positioning. Might be overkill for some.

Your Tarpon is looking good. Agree the cart is a bit sketchy looking, for the same reasons.

You can make your own slide trax mounting plates using 1/2" thick poly cutting board, and secure them to the trax using longboard center fin fin-box plates/screws. The screws are either 3/4" or 7/8" long (those are the min and max lengths that will work). I'll have to check on the threads-per-inch, but they are stainless pan head machine screws used for securing fins in longboard center fin boxes. You can get them at any surf shop, usually as a screw & plate mated up with each other, but the screws alone are cheaper at the hardware store.

I was having trouble locating extra Harmony slidetrax screws and plates, and Harmony never replied to my e-mail inquiry on the subject, so I set about to find my own solution. Turns out I just happened to have some extra screws and plates, so I tried 'em, and they worked! The Harmony stuff was expensive, anyway.

I strongly recommend the Scotty products. They are one of my sponsors for a reason. The gear head extenders are a great item. I love the quick connect head on them. It allows for the ability to quickly change between rod holder and camera mount. Check out the new paddle clips from Scotty as well. Just installed one and tried it out on Friday. Man is it slick. I will never us a stock paddle keeper again.

Your boat looks great. It is nice to see how other Tarpon owners set them up. I posted a video on here called Tarpon 120 rigging a while back. That was before I adds my paddle clips and a few other add ons. But all in all your boat looks very well laid out. Great job.

As for the cart I would honestly say that biting the bullet for a $100 aluminum cart with removable wheels is a great investment. I would be leery of using the scupper holes for anything and risk causing damage along the weld in there. Pretty hard to repair there.

Oh by the way guys. For all you Tarpon owners I am working with a company to possibly develop mounting plates for the slide trax. Would make getting them a little easier. I will let you all know when we have something further.

Try 1 1/2 inch ABS pipe. It works for my 15 foot Malibu eXtreme.
