Sure isn't.  Can't fit camping gear, yak gear, two adults and two kids with clothes and sleeping bags and such in a civic bro.

HALIBUT !!! My wife loves halibut. What's the water temp up there? I'm trying to get it dialed in here in Crescent City. I caught a few last year and I'm hooked....just not enough.

Where does a guy fish for halibut at Neah Bay. I have only fished in front of the break water and even then only once.

most of the consistent halibut areas at neah bay are well offshore (not reachable by kayak).  there are places in the strait but they also tend to be in deeper water and reading currents are the key to those spots.

i know there are halibut caught in shallower waters around neah bay by salmon fishermen in june, july, and august... but i haven't heard of any consistency regarding the shallower spots.  my only advice would be to fish giant baits / lures in close and be happy with catching lings.

i only ever halibut fished at neah bay when running a boat but i recall hearing that people catch them shallower and closer to shore further east in the strait.

good luck.
