I'm hoping for those more narrow geartracs soon, too. Been fishing from my new Revo unmodified, thinking that I needed to spend some time on board considering where everything belongs. But the season is going to start getting a little fast-and-furious here soon, and I know I need to address the rod holder situation pretty quick.

Same here.  I still don't have anything permanently mounted to my revo.  Really I only need 1 rod holder for downrigging.  I just can't decide where to put it.  Will probably end up in the front left, about even with the mast hole.

Had an e-mail exchange with Luther @ yakattack...

The narrow GearTrac they're working on will be 0.90" edge-to-edge! The mounting screws/fasteners will be inside the track and down the center. They're still working on spacing between the holes. Can't wait!

Sounds like it is going to need some backing material, or replace the stock screws with stainless machine screws, fender washers, and nylock nuts.  At least the access to the inside of the gunwales is fairly easy from the Revo front hatch.

It would be slick if they would take their "fullback" mounting plate idea and produce one for the new narrow geartrac.
