So, simple possession of barbed hooks is an offense?  What if I am fishing with a barbless hook or barbless leadhead, but have a pack of barbed hooks, or a barbed leadhead in my tackle box?  That's a violation?!  I wasn't fishing with it.

No.  It was the one I was fishing with, so I deserved it.  But I showed him all my pinched barbs just to make the point that it was an oversight and that a simple warning would go a long way.  You know...like they warned the illegal occupy campers for 90 days while they trashed our parks.

That reminds me.  I need to mash down a lot of barbs before I try for hali on Thursday.

What, really, is the incidence of salmon by-catch when bottom fishing?  It's got to be tiny.  I have a hard enough catching salmon when specifically targeting them.

That barb crap makes me want to skip Sucia and head for Area 4.

Its worth it Lee.  Sucia fatties hit and pull hard enough to keep themselves on the hook.
