Hello all...
Just got registered this morning...really dig the site.
I have been fishing since before I can remember, but never out of a kayak.
Bought my first (very inexpensive Old Town sit-in) kayak last week, and am officially hooked. Took it to Empire lakes yesterday and hooked into a 17" Rainbow that ran a good chunk of my line out, and towed me around for 10 minutes...

Already plotting how to upgrade...
Any suggestions and or advice on gear or anything would be greatly welcomed.
I know what I am...My wife tells me all the time!!

Welcome to the site.
The best advise is to demo if you can the gear before you buy!

Welcome.  There are a lot of guys in your neck of the woods.  You should have an easy time finding fishing buddies.  That's a great stretch of coast; you'll have a fun summer.
