I'm going to do a test float on Hagg Sunday.  Going to practice falling off and re-boarding my yak, and when have that figured out will try and do some fishing.  If anyone is interested in meeting up out there give me a shout out.   Enjoy the week-end regardless...........

My buddy had to cancel on a Depoe Bay excursion, so I have to go solo today and try somewhere else. The Hagg Lake deal looks good to me. The wife wants me to cook breakfast, etc, so I probably won't be out there until past noon. I will be in a yellow Hobie Oasis.

Did an early morning run on the board. Tanner arm was productive. SLF and I are having rainbows for dinner. Good luck out there; the place was a complete zoo when we left. Gonna be madness when the sun draws out the hoards...

Right about falling off, shortly after tethering my fishing rod I reached behind me for the milk crate to grab some gear and off I went.  Got a big chuckle when getting back on though.  Reached across and grabbed the far handle and proceeded to pull myself completely across and off the other side of the yak pulling it upside down on top of me.  Found out you can laugh underwater without getting water up your nose.  Anyway jumped off a couple of times after that and had a good time on and off the yak.  Didn't fish long as I saw the zoo animals starting to arrive and beat feet for home.

The most bizarre Loch Hagg watercraft.  14 foot prone paddleboard with red Milkcrate adorned with brewery stickers.  Pretty sure the last part of that description was overkill.  My ladyfriend was in a small Perception SINK. Didn't dawn on me that you were an angler.  I though you were maybe an instructor with that REI kayaking for noobs class.  We'll have to hook up for a Hagg sesh sometime.

That Next Adventure group were taking some blind people and a wheelchair bound person out to experience the water from a yak.  I thought that was pretty cool......  10-4 on getting together and doing some fishin'  I stripe highways for a living so now that the sun is out I will have very few days to myself with the exception of the holiday week-ends (feds won't let us out on the roads to work-too dangerous).  So will be at PC on memorial week-end.  We actually have an acre on the Little Nestucca River 8.5 miles up stream and will be camping there all week-end.  So will be running down to PC to try and catch a fish or two.

Yeah I saw a few groups out there.  You had the air of REI instructor.  Good on the next adventure folks; that's cool.  Holler if you get an evening that you can dedicate to mother Hagg...

Wow, that must be an Olympic Record in the nautical high jump! Up and over in a single move, you wearing flippers? Maybe Flipper should be your moniker.

No, not wearing flippers, maybe it's all the extra ballast around the middle.  Hmmm probably should work on getting rid of some of that, maybe that wouldl help make re-boarding a little smoother.
