Well not as Glamorous as some of the salt action footage, shoot these aren't even big trout. But I guess if your bored at home you can burn up a couple minutes watching. This is the best fishing footage to date that I have though. The rest of the story is in the youtube description. this!

To heck with glamor. That was intense in my book. Bending rods, feisty fish fly'en. The second one made me jump in my chair and cheer. Thanks for posting. I love it.

Dude, that was totally fun.  Thanks for posting that.  I wanted to troll for trout tonight, but got sidelined with other plans.  That filled the void.  Rad.

Matt, those fish have way more vigor and spunk than the planters I tend to pull out of my local lakes.

That would be totally wild to catch those on a Barbie pole!

Love the flying leap of the second one!

Great video.  That second one seemed a little bit upset with your plan to catch him.  Looked like loads of fun.

Thanks guys! As the water warms those fish get even more vigorous in the fight. The ice hasn't even been off that lake for a week yet. Every once in While you can hook
A nice trout in there.  That lake also has arctic char in it which are decent size but not as good of fighters.

Long Lake, Matt? Looked like a nice day, and like you had the place to yourself. I need to bend a fly rod soon!

That was Lynne lake in willow. It gets some fishing pressure but not much. That was Monday and there were a few bank fisherman. Honeybee is right next to it and has some nice rainbows in it. That lake hardly gets fished at all. Also it's non motorized which is nice. I tried there first and despite fish rising everywhere I didn't have what they wanted!
I might head out there this weekend again. Probably Friday afternoon to just fish for a few hours before the crazies show up

Love the flying leap of the second one!

I was going to say the same thing. It's always nice seeing someone having fun catching fish.

Nice fishes there!  I want to go trolling for some AOTY trout this week but the weather is crappy!  On the plus side, I'd probably be the only one there.

Do any of you paddlers troll backwards?
