FFTW,

Awesome fish!  Just take a photo of your hawg trough and summit it for review.

Ok, i know i'm not participating, but just came in from the NCKA site, and those guys are bragging that they are kicking your butts.

reading thru, CBY seems to be a major threat to them.

how are the NWKA teams doing in standings overall?
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

I guess it depends what category you're looking at. They're ahead in total inches but NWKA 1 and 3 are ahead on the total salt regional points. Fresh water they are ahead though.

Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

We attempted butts today but failed to catch one. The one foot swells quickly turned to 3-4 feet with a short duration, wind, and nasty whitecaps. It wasnt the most fun I've had on the salt but we still caught some rockfish and Lings .

That's a bitch, I was pulling for my homies to find some flat ones while I was stuck onshore. Should have trolled back for chinook.

Yeah, we missed you out there. There was no trolling on the way back. We were surfing down the face of the breaking whitecaps over and over again. It was nasty. I had my paddle in my hand the whole time and thought I was going to eat it for sure.

The sea was angry that day my friends, like an old man trying to send back soup at a deli.  The current out there was surprisingly fast (about 1.4 mph) and it made for some slogging back to the rock.  But it was a fun adventure anyways.  I definitely will use the Adventure next time.  It would have been a tough paddle back in the Outback had something happened to the Mirage drive.
