I'll be wurkin' on Sat, but plan to launch before low tide on Sun. I was standing on the jetty out there two evenings ago, and I witnessed a river otter dive and come up with a small rockfish!  Went back last night at about 8:45 to the spot the otter showed me, with my spinning rod, a small crankbait, plus and extra 3/4 oz jig/grub, and made some casts. Missed a huge grab, then hooked a nice blackie, but lost him when my line got sawed off on the rocks because I was standing up too high on the jetty.
After 9pm now, I tied on my jighead/grub (glo-grub!) and, using my prehensile tail and limpet-like grip (imitating a jetty monkey), crawled down closer to the water and found a place to stand. Gave the glo-grub a lengthy blast from my flashlight, a squirt of anchovy oil, and made a cast. BaM! Hooked right up to a little 12" Black Rockfish, and went home with this morning's breakfast! MMM!

Great story Conehead!   ;D
It does look like there's a nice window to kayak there later in the morning...if the 3W's align (weather, work, wife) I hope to make it out there..

Keeping an eye on the wind. The last wind forecast I saw for Sun looked a bit breezy, and the chance of precip went up, too.  All hope is not yet lost, but if the weekend craps out, things might look better on Tuesday afternoon or Wed.

Looking like is going to be OK right now. I plan to launch at low tide. I have a spot I need to hit from my yak.  I went out on the rocks yesterday evening after work and hooked into a huge fish (probably a Ling) that I fought for at least ten minutes before it broke me off in the rocks. I saw the otter again.

Nice to meet you, Conehead..how did you end up doing?
My bigger ling must have got shrinkage.  That 36" shrunk to 34-1/2" by the time I got home.  Guess I shouldnt have iced it down before showing it to my wife!
