Testing the waters a bit before throwing up the boat on Craigslist.

The classic was discontinued in 2007. Weighing in at only 50 lbs and paired with turbo fins the boat moves very well. I've really enjoyed the boat but want to upgrade to a boat with a bit more room and storage. I've had the boat in the Ocean, Columbia, and Willamette numerous times and it's always done great. The boat is in good shape with the normal scratches/wear.

Probably it's main limitation is its weight capacity and lack of storage. I weigh 160 lbs and with fish and gear I've never had any problems, but I probably wouldn't recommend it for someone who is closer to 200 lbs. I'm happy to provide test drives in the PDX area. NWKA asking price is $900. PM or call me if interested 503-314-1676.

Thanks,

Noah

Specs:
2007 Hobie Mirage Classic

 Length       13 feet
 Beam       30 in.
 Weight       50 lbs
 Hull Color       Spiced White
 Maximum Capacity       250 lbs

I use the area below the crate for extra storage, a stringer fits in there pretty well.

Would you say that's closer to an Adventure or a Revo, or what?  Or is it totally different and not at all comperable to any current Hobie?

Closer to a revo, but I've heard it compared to a Sport, but it's it's 2-3 feet longer. It's a fun boat. The rubber control is also on the right side, which I think is the opposite of every other Hobie. I might be able to bring it to ORC, if it's still available, if you're interested in a test drive.

If you bring I'll definitely want to demo it.  However, I weigh around 200#.  Have to see how it handles.  And before I could even think about buying it I'd have to sell my OK Prowler.

I felt pretty comfortable on it when I used it and I weigh around 210.

I might try it out also if you are bringing it to the coast. Im about 160#. Im about to pull the trigger on a new revo, but i would rather get something used and save some $$. It does look like it sits a bit lower in the water. Could just be the pictures.

It does sit low in the water. Thanks for the interest guys but the boat is sold :( Wish it would have stayed in the NWKA family but I had to sell it quick to get the new Revo.

Merz-
You should hit up the Kayak Shed, they're coming to ORC, maybe they could bring a new Revo for you :)
