Sweetness! Nice work!

I built it to fit in the garage in the popped up state, so she was safely camping in the garage.

That's even better! All mother-in-laws should sleep in the .......

Oh, you said your mom...that's different.

The feet were one of the first things I noticed while reviewing the pictures and frankly, would have been  surprised, maybe even mildly disappointed with anything less, considering the source....Great job Bro.

How 'bout "Yak-a-Haul-It"?

That's an awesome name.  I just gotta throw it through some fonts and see how it looks.  :icon_thumright:

Forward thinking and innovation at it's absolute pinnacle.  If you don't want to build them, please do yourself and ALL OF US A FAVOR and sell the design to someone who will build it.  The only way I could see to improve it is to use boxed aluminum for the frame work to save massive amounts of weight.  That trailer is a straight gold mine of innovation and well thought out utilitarianism (if that's even a word).

Please, sell this plan/idea and get it on the market.  It is something that isn't out there YET, and if you don't, someone will definitely steal your idea and make all the profit from your blood sweat and tears put into it.

Can you tell I want one?  Damn good thing my father is a fabrication genius cuz I now gotta put him to work chasing what you've created.

At least consider selling it to a company that will mass produce it.  Granted it is a small segment of buyers, niche if you will,  but marketed properly would yield significant profits if the build process can be streamlined.

Amazing brother, straight up.

Wow, I could only imagine a really really small amount of folks willing to part with the greenbacks needed to purchase a boxed aluminum framed version.  :o

Part of the design of using boxed steel is to increase the trailers ability to handle miles and miles of abuse off road. Aluminum has a way of working itself to the point of cracking/failure.

As for selling the idea to a company to mass produce, I don't see it being as much of a niche that would justify.  There are companies out there (primarily Australian) that have been producing similar concepts for years.  There are some really incredible units that have full kitchens that slide out of what appears to be thin air.  If the urge to build yourself a trailer overcomes your senses, be sure to Google things like "Overland trailer", " Bugout trailer", "Kimberly Kamper", "Off road trailer".....and things along those lines. Dig through ideas and formulate what you feel is important to your needs and start throwing some sparks.

That is just ridiculously cool!

It's perfect for yakkers, surf trippers and any other sporting wanderers.  I know you're not into large scale manufacturing but this one is a million dollar idea, executed beautifully.  Again, you proved that metal fears you!

Allen, let me talk to my people and make sure it doesn't contradict any binding contracts, and we'll get back to your people.

I'm just kidding!   ;D

Front page article sounds good to me.  Hopefully it will inspire others to design the trailer of their dreams, whether they build it, or have it built.

I am simply blown away by the way this trailer multitasks! Insayn, you really are the metalsmith. It even occurs to me that you might be able to open beer bottles between the toes of the jack foot pads ...

Crap!   That reminds me, I'm on the hunt for a bolt on bottle opener (or two) to add to the outside of the trailer.

I'll get back on that this week!
Thanks for the nudge.   8)

Bad A$$!!!

Your build had me looking at doing something similar with wood (dont have the metal tools) and I ran across this trailer and thought it was right up there feature wise with yours.

I spent an hour on that website looking at their designs.  Your artistry beats the heck out of the Go, but I thought I would share the link as others might be able to shell out for it.

Yeah, $8k for a trailer is a bit spendy, but it is pretty cool for the jet set crowd.
