I saw this on our local Flyfishing board. Looks like a nice boat, though pricey at $1,900. I've never felt the need to stand up, even though I fly fish.

Thoughts?

interesting. I'd need to deploy the stabilizers just to turn around and get my pole out of the pole holders

My knee or back would give out on the way up sooner or later and i'd probably go swimming. I don't know, i see alot of swimming with this Yak.

If you really gotta stand up , it's pretty cool.It would be handy for taking a leak.

See ya on the water..

Thoughts?

$1900 is way too much for a kayak.

The weight- 85#- sounds like a killer. That's more than my 14' rowboat.

Looks like I replied last night to the thread on the FF board.  My reply was the following:

Or you can just add these to your kayak ... stabilizers made by Scotty.

I saw this kayak at ICAST a couple of years back. I didn't care for the build quality. The cockpit was canoe-like - one big open undrained area. Could be great in shallow water; it seemed to have a limited application for West Coast fisheries.
