On the Western part of Rich passage there is rocky structure that is worth exploring as well  as Bainbridge reef on the Eastern side.  The artificial reef on the SW corner of Blake Island holds lings.  Your also that much closer to the Straits and the coast so if you really want to up your odds spend the extra time to drive there.

TY Kykfshr! I have been eyeing the Rich passage for locations. I will give it a try. The Straits are still a bit of a drive for me. I wouldn't want to be out there alone and my regular paddle partner is still on Alki.

Haze,

I recently did the same move!  I am still very new to fishing from tuperware but I love it.  Would like to maybe combine sometime or at least share info.

Cheers

Sorry for the delay guys.

As an update, I tried Southworth on the 12th and again on the 13th.  Mixing up different jigs.  Had a lot of fun but no lings.  A few sands only.  So I did not find the rocks basically.  I am currently without a depth finder so a good guide/map or some local hands would be appreciated.  From my understanding, I should have been further south almost above Vashon instead of a bit west and up from there.

So many harbor porpoises out those days, tons.  They ended up checking my boat out (subliminally telling me fishing that day was pointless)

What say we all begin planning some salmon outings for the late summer fellow Kitsapians?
The photo attached is my Walden Scout 12.5 at Walupt Lake in 2010.  I received message from some of you, look forward to throwing something together.

Are we called Kitsapians?

If you are out and fishing, who cares what they call you?  I'm new to the forum, and to fishing from tupperweare.  I'm hoping to connect with some folks that actually know what they are doing, because I'm close to clueless.  I do have a bit of experience fishing for salmon off the beaches with my fly rod.  Maybe this fall I'll be able to catch some while casting in toward the beach instead of away from it.
Kayak fishing?  I have no clue, but I'm doing it.
