Am thinking of installing a metal base for my hydrostar on the fore deck since the suction cup doesnt stick to my T15. That would give me a magnetic surface for the lamp base to grab to.

First thought was to put it on top with goop and let it weather. Not thinking that will work to well.

Second idea is to epoxy it to the underside of the deck. Should still give me a decent magnetic hookup.

Biggest issue is which epoxy would work best? Am open to suggestions. This is not an immediate priority thing but its some thkng for the near future.

You definitely need to make certain it will bond to other plastics.  Most epoxies I have used don't, which is handy...unless you want to bond plastics to your project :-\.

Why not bolt down a flat plate of 1/4" aluminum, or 1/8" polished stainless that the suction cup can get some traction on.   8)
