I want to try Area 11 out tomorrow, any tips on where to put the yak in at and where to fish.  I live in N. Tacoma and want to get out for a few hours.  I do not have a FF installed yet so will probably be jigging some Point Wilson Darts (Blind).

Any help would be appreciated. This is my second time out with my PA 14 and I am just trying to learn the boat.  The first time out I hit American Lake and caught one rainbow.  I would like to step it up a little bit.  I am considering the Humming Bird 597 FF in the very near future which will make things easier.

Check out the Dickman Mill site on Ruston Way, park across the street, it's a gravel beach with pilings just outside.

That's good advice, stay away from Owns Beach/Point Defiance, a lot of inconsiderate PB's there.  from the Slag Pile east, not bad, and around the 2 big gray navy ships, pretty good fishing.  I got spooled by a huge king there a couple years ago.  Big tide swings next few days, minus 3.2 today, should be really moving the bait.  Fish deep!! Around 1 pm should be as slack as it's gonna be....short twitches on your jig, about 12 inches, assuming you're using braid.
