I don't think any of us are that competitive CBY. If you're in the neighborhood let us know.

geesh with fish of that size who needs to go into the salt.. biggest fish i ever caught in my life was a 35lb bacaruda in the persian gulf tho i did tie into something one evening right at sunset, saw this huge dark shadow go under the fantail of the Gilliland and this dinner plate sized eye right behind my line..never will know what it was...

so, for trout that size, we need to call in the local crane services, right? ;D >:D
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

All the fisheries I mentioned above are open year-round, except for the steelhead. Steelhead are usually good for only 6 months, Oct.-Mar. I've got it good for freshwater fisheries, it' getting to the salt that's a problem for me.

I wish I could come visit but 'Homeland Security' doesnt like me for some stupid reason...Must be all the dead fish Karma...I dont know...So Im living through all you guys for my favorite kind of fishing...And Im limited to the salt chuck and 2-5 pound dollies and cutties...Maybe in the summer I can get off the rock and try for something different...
So please try the methods and let me know so I can dream I was you...K

Live and dead bait knot link...On this site there is a few different methods of tying a koke or grayling...Get inventive and throw a spinner in front of the swimming deadbait rigs...

Forgot...Another must lure for trolling deep and spring trolling is a jointed Believer from Drifter baits...They are a Muskie bait originally but have proven themselves to be a fantastic Laker bait...Run a 6 ounce inline weight and a 6 foot or so leader of 25 lb mono to the believer and paddle...Every once and awhile stop and let it drop steady for a few seconds then paddle hard to lift it up again and run true then repeat that process...

Rollie and Helens musky shop has wicked Laker lures for trolling...Also nice oversize spoons and stuff...
