It took about five hours, but I finally found a silver to take home for supper. Caught him at the end of Derby Cove, on the west side of Resurrection Bay. I was trolling a large herring on a #5 Pro-Troll helmet below a 3 oz banana weight, in about 35 ft of water. Great fun; great fight. Haven't stopped grinning. Maybe tomorrow.

Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

We were on our way in when I spied a kayaker moving sans paddle, and I knew it was him. I was so pleased to see that he was able to get some fishing time. By that time I had been out 8 hours already, so we chatted briefly before I went ashore. Very nice to see the happy couple.

Great looking fish! I'm hoping to get my first one in the fall. I'm sure it made for a great dinner. Just broiled skunk for me this weekend :)

Thanks guys -- seems like the only fish I've been catching this month have Irish lords. So I was thrilled to connect with this handsome fella. While I was waiting for this one I saw five jumpers -- and watched an eagle snatch a pink from waters nearby. Looks like the leading edge of the run has arrived.

Awesome!   I fished Pony last Tuesday out of an 18' Woolridge and came away thinking that while I was glad to be in a sled out there, I cannot wait to get back home and give the salmon a shot out of the yak.  Great job!

Nicely done!

Nice! Can't wait for my turn. Seems like summer is shooting by especially when you know the next weekend is booked up. I might be dippin reds next weekend but who knows. Might be stuck in town watching kids too.
