Greetings all, I was out at Pacific City yesterday.  It was my first time out.  I went with Ron Sauber, who showed tremendous tact and professionalism as I hung up rig after rig on the bottom.  I had a fantastic time.  I caught a few fish, had an exciting surf landing without incident, and I would have to say the fish weren't the only things that got hooked yesterday.
I also got to meet some of you yesterday!  I won't name names as I don't want to leave anyone out, but I wanted to say what great guys!  Everyone was friendly and welcoming.  I hope to see you out there soon.  Marcus

P.S.  If you are looking for a guide to get started Ron was fantastic

Marcus..  Thanks for the kind words.  I enjoyed fishing with you and I'm glad you had a great time, you're a natural on the water!  Welcome to kayak fishing!

Marcus, you definitely picked the right guy to hit the salt with! Sounds like everyone has a blast yesterday.

Welcome Marcus. Good job on the ling. Didn't see anyone else get one. I stayed an extra half an hour just looking for a ling but to no avail. Ron's a great fisherman with a ton of knowledge. Oh and kudos to both of you for getting in without s huli. I had to do quite a bit of bracing to get in without incident.

Oh and I spoke with a guy on the beach for twenty minutes that was real interested in kayak fishing. If your reading this contact Pelagic Paddler for an intro guided first trip. He'll probably be able to get you out on a kayak and give you the pros and cons of different models before you throw down $500 to $2000.

It was nice meeting you yesterday, Marcus. Hopefully we'll see you again on the water real soon. Just think how much fun you'll have on a day that isn't super slow!

Great to meet you out there, Marcus. You looked like a natural. Congrats on a successful landing, I was not so fortunate. Hope to see you on the water again soon!
