You might try discovery bay or Sequim bay. They just had the derby there last weekend with 113 fish caught over 3 days with 110 fisherman. If you go to discoverybaysalmonderby.com (or google it) it has a map of the area around Port Townsend. The channel between Port T and whidby gets a lot of boat traffic, theres a ridge out about a mile from Port T but all the guides and charter go there from what I hear. I may try Sequim bay this weekend if the weather is nice, I hate the cold rain. Even in PA they are biting in 70' to 180' of water between the red bouy and the mill, so I've been told. Now whether that is the Nipon mill to the west or the old Raynier mill site to the east I don't know. but I do know that they have been biting at 180' feet and up. Guides were staying about 10' to 20' off the bottom.
Sequim bay might be a little slower but a easy paddle. as well as Discovery bay. Let me know what you decide. I might see you out there.

For blackmouth, trolling works well, as they can be scattered. They prefer a higher speed than mature kings- as much as 3 mph. Around 10 feet off the bottom, in water 90-120' deep, is a good starting area. That's easiest done with a downrigger, but folks have managed via other methods.

At Mid-Channel Bank, which is between Port Townsend and Marrowstone Island, people often jig with small white Pt. Wilson Dart. http://www.dartjigs.com/ The BM feed on candlefish in this area, over the sand bottom. http://mapper.acme.com/?ll=48.11683,-122.71729&z=12&t=T&marker0=48.00095%2C-122.17690%2C3.0%20km%20NE%20of%20Everett%20WA&marker1=47.38583%2C-122.82639%2CAllyn%20WA&marker2=47.70008%2C116.02949%2Ctriton%20cove%20WA&marker3=48.04712%2C-122.17857%2C0.6%20km%20SxSW%20of%20Marysville%20WA%5C&marker4=36.29694%2C-93.45754%2Ctriron%20cove&marker5=47.20917%2C-124.20194%2CPacific%20Beach%20WA&marker6=48.04550%2C-119.53743%2C8.9%20km%20NE%20of%20Chief%20Joseph%20Dam%20WA&marker7=47.51891%2C-122.21350%2C0.6%20km%20WxSW%20of%20Kennydale%20WA

it looks like we will be out this weekend I am not sure when the tides are good I still need to check it.  If you spot two blue kayaks out there it will be us.  I might stop by sportsmans today and pick up a couple of the small white jigs to try also.

If you are gona try trolling may I suggest 4'' coyotes in silver, or my favorite APEX in silver. They look kind of flimsie but they kill.
I don't know if I am gona make, the kids have all had the flu and now I have it. It's passing fast but I don't know if I will be 100% by tommorow. Good luck and let us know how you do. You also might try jigging the bottom in the bays for flounder.

I know that feeling, all 4 of my kids have been sick, started with pink eye then to a nasty cold.  then the wife managed to get sick and have 105o fever.  my going out depends on no one getting sick again.  hope everyone feels better
