A very rare day last Saturday when the ocean was calm enough to paddle right into the caves around Tatoosh and Cape Flattery. Of course bottom fishing is excellent at these cave entrances because these fish seldom if ever see fishing pressure. The water was so clear I could watch a lings stalking the jig 20 feet down. CR on a lot of fish, brought home just five. Most the day was spent exploring caves and coves I might never get to again. Go there if you get the right conditions, but it's a long way from a launch so be prepared for the effort.

Very cool.

On the way from Hobuck Beach to Shi Shi, there are some seacaves down there as well. I have some scenery shots to post myself.

The whole area is freaking epic!

One word of caution about sea caves----sit outside for a few wave sets so you can be sure you will not be flattened against the ceiling on a big surge.

Camping there would be a bit tricky... the tide comes up to the bottom of fifty foot cliffs.
that would be a hell of a paddle from hobuck on a sit on top. The current or wind caught you off guard you better be ready to take out at Neah Bay.

Beautiful country... no doubt about it!

Cool pics, didn't even know that place existed. Sea was very calm yesterday, was great for fishing. That place looks a little to far for my legs to paddle though.

Dang, that looks cool. I don't know where that's at, but those seldom visited places are intriguing.
