ey all, hope your getting a chance to enjoy this last bit of summer! Anyway I have been fishing ma 11 hard for silvers and I'm not seeing good results! Trolling between Browns point and redondo have put nothing in the kayak! Frankly I been paddling my ass off and determined... I would at-least like to get one fish in the boat for all the work i put into it! Any tip from you saltwater guys? where to go, what to use, what to eat for dinner the night before?

So here's what i been doing!
Fishing off browns point (Tacoma) and maybe paddle up to Redono... Fishing in the 75 to 160 ft of water! Trolling a small dik night dodger (less drag in the kayak then a normal sized salmon dodger) with a mini Grand slam bucktail 24 inchs behind... When I get too tired and my arms about fall off I mooch a cut plug... Maybe its just the area? I haven't seen any other boat pull anything up! Maybe its me?
The yak has no down-riggers and i understand thats a big downfall but I should be able to pull something up

-Thanks for any information!!!

Id just stick with the mooching setup and troll as fast as you can, Trooching for me has been working pretty good so far this year.  Also maybe try deeper water

aren't dodgers supposed to be slow trolled? ditch that and get a flasher. I've been using 8-12oz cannonballs to keep it down with some luck. yaktrap has been über successful trolling a 000 deep six. green orange whatever looks he flashiest works good
