What size ram mount fits in the sail mast hole for an outback?
No matter how many times the PB's tell me I'm nuts....I still smile every time I out fish them

It's special made by Hobie.  Most online kayak shops sell them.

There are two of them, differentiated by a 1" ball or a 1.5" ball. (I believe they're called wedge mounts.)
They are made by RAM but Hobie re-brands them as well.  Careful as there is also a Scotty wedge mount that looks identical but I believe is a different diameter wedge.

You don't need any of those fancy store bought things.

Careful, as mentioned before on another thread, wood will swell when it gets wet. I'd hate for someone to ruin their mast hole because of a quick add-on.

Another option that I have used is ~8" section of PVC pipe with a little electrical tape wrapped in the middle. It fits perfectly and the tape makes it extremely snug. I mounted a 1" RAM ball on the pipe for the fishfinder. Sidenote: if you use the plastic RAM arms for your light-duty stuff, the paint won't flake off.
