Why is it that...

when the weather looks good for a one day trip there is NO WAY you can go.  Well, at least it seems to be that way for me.  Westport on Christmas Eve - low wind, and from the direction I prefer, little swell, tide isn't the best - but I would have gone... I HAVE to work that day.  Sigh... there are some things even more important than fishing.

What's open?  Rockfish and greenling?  You're not missing too much at least.  Look at it this way, think of it as saving some gas and time towards a trip to Oregon, where tasty fish is open year round.

Westport is just pretty close for me... and I love catching seabass.  They may be my favorites.
