Is anybody making plans to chase sturgeon after the first of the year?  I'd like to try for at least one keeper before the season closes.

I sure wouldn't mind meeting up with a few of you for a couple days of fishing sometime in January.

Can you catch me up on what the regs are for 2013? One fish per year, but is it open all year?

There isn't any extra reg changes as far as Sturgeon are concerned at the moment.

I think I'm going to wait until later in the year or just stay local if I do fish for them.

I'll wait to decide till I have regs in hand and can tease out whats open, when and where.  Open or not the Columbia will suck till the water warms in the spring, at least compared to the Willamette.  Surgeon fishing has been really good in the Willy lately.  C&Rd a day last week and had a bunch of action and some real nice sized fish too.
