Looking to join some fellas in some Bass, Crappie, or Striper fishing. I'm a catch and release angler, so no worries of me fishing out anyones spots. I fished for Steelhead when I was a kid and trout a couple times a year on camping trips, but other then that I've never fished for Salmon. I don't mind driving an hour or so to fish somewhere. I went out to Lake Kapowsin twice last weekend to look for some Crappie, but ended up with no luck, except almost running into some duck hunters that were camouflaged great against the bank. Well hope to hear from someone.

I have a semi primitive camp spot in Westport for Memorial weekend  with fire pit/table= no power= power inverter in jeep. If anyone is interested.  Also going sturgeon fishing this Friday out of Longview  for the 1st time Fri/Sat, not my 1st sturgeon trip.

From my online research, I've seen lakes around here that have said Striper, Hybrid, White Bass are species in the lake. Not all, but I've seen it. I'll research to find it again and post link, so I don't look like a fool.

SeaSlug, I'm interested in learning more about fishing In the Longview area. Thinking about planning a joint event with the Portland and Puget Sound Heroes on the Water groups. Longview looks like a good midway point.

Islandhoppa,

Sounds good to me.  I'm a vet (19D) and wouldn't mind helping out.  Willow Grove boat launch, there is a beach launch at the far west of the park, looks good.  I'll be there tomorrow to learn more about the area.

SS, Thanks for your service. I was thinking about coming to Longview Saturday. I play tennis at Mint Valley at three so fishing in the morning might be really good. Any interest?

Be careful anchoring up in the Longview area. More tug/barge & ship traffic, plus on an ebb those currents can get mean.
