SideKick Ama Kit?

I love the sidekicks.  They allow you to stand up and fish. 

Oh..trust me..  folks with little kayaking experience can and will flip an outback if you turn your back on them. Often losing at least some of your gear in the process

Tell me about it. The time that a huli sneaks up  usually correlates with the relaxation factor of time spent on the water. Nothing like a bath in 40 degree water to wake up the senses. You can and will most likely huli your boat if you spend a significant amount of time on the water. Plan for it and be ready. Worst case scenario is that you will end up with cool immersion stuff and peace of mind.

Amas would be great for that peace of mind but, be aware, sh_t happens.

I debated long and hard on the AMA's, but I am in a PA and really don't "need" them....
However...

There are times I wish I had at an AMA on one side for dealing with PB wakes, moving parallel to the coast when hugging the rocks, additional stability for a re-entry, etc... 

For these reasons, I have been looking at the Scotty ones....  I already have scotty mounts behind my seat on each side.  I figure the Scotty version is easily removable which would allow for not having them on while surf launching and easy to put on after clearing the breakers.

Not exactly along the lines of the SideKicks, but if I had mad fabrication skills like this guy,  I would dedicate a kayak just to put these on.

That guy's an evil genius who's obviously watched alot of battlestar galactica.

Thing hauls. Wonder what the top speed is. Love that it is gas powered. F batteries!

Spearfishers are so bad ass.
